i thnk wallnut is good neck material. i like walnut neck..

easy to make neck than maple. and more stabillity than maple.

i occur this matter..

my accident is fingerboard glue.. -> clamp remove -> fretting -> neck back

after neck back,, neck backbow.. ^^

so i decide.

(router)trustroad -> free neck back -> planning( fingerboard joint for neck) -> glue -> fretting -> sandding neck back..

my teacher say, glue have moisture.. so this is natural ..

and i decide when make neck.. at least more 3 weeks needs.

how long time is need for making neck?

fingerboard glue & make neck back is enable 1 Day.. but this neck is not good.

need long stability time for fingerboard & neck..

if classic guitar dry rule is apply to solid body.. we dont make solidbody ^^

brush use finish is difficult.. not easy..

but i lesten brush finish is more good than airgun spray.

i use planner, Spokeshaves , Scraper, bandsaw or saw, sandpaper.., knife..

and i suggest dont use belt sender.. use your hands.

because when use beltsender it is too easy for mistake.

tool is very very faster.. and it is too fast for mistake..

but hand is not faster and difficult ,

when absent-mindedly work.. neck is damager is big.. ^^

i think lex your nation have good maple.. and find your local area veneer wood company..

veneer company all way use vest quality wood..

i buy this wood.. ^^

logs, -> slice this log to veneer -> remain 15mm ~ 20mm board.. ^^

veneer company use logs and allway remain some board.. and

in framed maple.. allway remain perfect qerterswan?

my new Guitar is allmost ended.. now i 'am setup check for ready finish..

my teacher say. no finish before setup check..

so i checked.. String Length.. and picup position . and neck ..

and checke OK.. to ready finish..

i work in company & office job is ended.. i go every day.. to make guitar..

today i buy new maple..

figured maple is get free.. ^^ but figured maple is rotten. it is splated in wood company yard, rain.. snow.. sunLirght, alll is natural air dried.. ^^

next week my teacher visit my new woking room.. so i make table ^^

it is first try.. solid curly maple is dry by human's hips temperature ... haha

this maple size is 60mm thick. 500mm width.. 2800mm .

and i have my first splate maple..

next time i will buy splated maple...

so he mail.. and stewmac reply , if you do not satisfaction for stewmac wood. send to stewmac and resend Master Grade top..

my teacher send his UPS charge.. for return stewmac wood.

stewmac do not demand UPS charge to change new Mastergrade top..

i think red ceda is not strong .. and easy to scratch , so it is need more careful.

i think local area wood is good.

almost tone wood is start by local wood. cheap & easy to get.

and i think Singapore have many wood.. and cheap .. beautiful..

i work 12~13 hour in officejob. and make guitar is my hobby ^^

but make guitar is allway funny.. ^^

in korea. software programmer is very bad.. normal woking is 12~16..

start nomal 08~09 Hour ..

but going home is usually 20~23 Hour..

many people dont understand woking performance.

long woking is not good. software development is hard woking..

i want to masterbuilder, and i want to live with allway making guitar ^^

but it will be come true or not...
