  1. You mean sorta like the ones on the Ibanez WD7? Ibanez call em tone lock pots.
  2. Yup, i have a DMR rythm 24, Dirt Jumper 2's, Hope Mini's. Its a beast! Thanks Slain, i will keep this updated as much as posible.
  3. I could get 2", but id be far too scared, this is 1.75" and it handeld it fine. Reason for not using it for the whole body is time really, it would take about an extra 30/45 min to scroll saw it out, the bandsaw is quick and easy. A router hasnt touched it yet, if far better with a power sander than i am at routing, even with a template, and i have a damn good set of sanders, belt, disk and spindal. These are all floor mounded industrial things. As for the acuracy, im not that good, but having a well set up saw is half the battle.
  4. Todays work. I used a combination of band saw and scroll saw for this, the scroll saw was used in the cutaway, i have to say i was really impressed with it. It cut alot better than the bandsaw, most likly because the bandsaw needs a new blade, but the scroll saw was just amazing, cut like butter. A pic of the body beside the template can be found here As you can see the bandsaw burnt it a bit. All that is gone now, after alot of sanding. I tryed a search, but it didnt come up with anything usefull, so whats holly like as a tone wood?
  5. Drak will be pleased with the Delta recomendation
  6. Go over it with a bit of wire wool. Do a search for matt finish, that sould answer a few questions.
  7. Ok, i have a question, Whats Holly like as a tone wood? Im thinking about toping it in holly right now, i still might go with the padauk, but i can get holly very easily.
  8. Yes, i have enough wood, i thought the same actually but my measurements were right, later on i'll take a pic with the template on, but thatl have to be tomorow, i took it to school to cut the headstock down to thickness and rough out the neck profile. The blank is 35mm thick, atm.
  9. Yes, i am folowing Setch's tut, im also using this thread too. The carve should be easy enough, im good at carving wood. i still have to wait for my paudauk to arive befor i can go any farther with it tho.

  21. Yup. I just love the way it flows and the fact you can see the neck wood more. Not so important with mine as its Mahog on to mahog, but itl look good all the same. Thanks for showing us this, i will refer to it when making mine
