  1. No, I meant I've deleted the programs that were crap not the clip I uploaded
  2. You must have a good memory lol, I've deleted the programs so I can't check but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a bitrate limit. Thanks for the link feylya, I'll try that out in the morning Any other suggestions very welcome
  3. I've got some recordings on my digital 8 track that I want to put onto my PC (as mp3 or wav) I've downloaded several free mp3 recorder programs, but most of them have time limits on what you can record although the sound quality is superb and they're easy to use. I've tried Goldwave and some other multitrack programs, but I've found the sound quality really bad. Any ideas???
  4. Here's a couple more pics, as you can see I still need to sand the inside the curves, I can't reach them with my belt sander , the wood to the right of the neck pockect also needs to be sanded straight. All coments welcome...
  5. They're sending me another blank this week, so I can get started on my RG project, but I'm glad I kept this one, Tele's aren't really my thing but I have admit they're growing on me
  6. Ok here it is, it's not finished yet still needs some tidying up, oh yeah ignore the red marker pen ...
  7. Feeling brave/stupid I decided to route the neck pocket without any guides or templates just a pencil line to follow.....and it looks pretty damm good to me I'll post some more pics later, batteries need a charge

    Drop D

You don't need to press the button on the tuner, as the 4th string is a D note... so the tuner will reconise a D note even if it's an octave lower. I hope that makes sense
  9. Ok so far, so good, I've printed out the Telecaster cad file from guitarbuild.com, after a few attemps I got it to print out at exactly the right scale. I placed the paper template on top of the wood and marked out the outline. This evening I've started sanding and so far it's looking good, I still have all of my fingers so that's a bonus I should have some more pic's over the weekend
  10. I don't think having ball ends would make them more stable, as for keeping the bridge level I use a cd case (the very slim single type) I find that keeps it pefectly level
  11. Due to a mix up with my supplier instead of a un-cut blank I've been sent a Tele I've decided to keep it anyway, it will give me some much needed routing pratice So here it is, it's only been roughly cut out with a bandsaw and needs sanding/routing etc, it's made from Piranha Pine I'm thinking of keeping it simple just a single humbucker, 1 vol, 1 tone pot, no scratchplate and routing the control cavity at the back.
  12. I'd like to recess a TOM bridge on a Tele project I'm working on, this is my first build from scratch does anyone have any tips for doing this? some pics would be great Thanks
  13. It looks pretty cool, reminds me of the ESP Viper, very nice
  14. I brought a normal electric stand (I think it was made by Quicklock) and bent supports up until it fitted, it worked very well
  15. hmmmm only one problem, the fretboard doesn't have much overhang so there's quite a big space between the neck and pickup
  16. I missed out on the Jackson neck but the other neck with sharkfins arrived this morning and it's a perfect fit it's pretty rough though, looks like it'll need a re-fret and the binding replacing but it was cheap I'll post some more pics soon
  17. It wouldn't work with the one I have, the stud's are much further apart then a Floyd and the sadles are further forward than the Floyd as well.
  18. I believe that the neck pocket in my body is just slightly smaller than most Jacksons etc So I might have to make it slighty wider, but I think the shape of the heal will be ok.
  19. I didn't make the body myself I brought it off ebay. I don't fancy altering this body because I'll only mess it up As for a neck I've got a few options, I've brought a few bits for various projects, I'm just waiting for them to be delivered. There's a Jackson 24 fret, revesre h/stock, sharkfins, locking nut, a Kramer neck with dot inlays and scalloped frets, no locking nut and a cheap no name neck with sharkfins. I think the Jackson will be first choice, even though it does have a locking nut which is a bit weird on a non-trem guitar The left over one's will be used on my guitar(s) I build myself.
  20. Thanks for the advice, I'll look into that
  21. They're made by Schaller, the finish was in bad condition when I got it so I bead blasted the paint off. Bit weird having fine tuners without a trem, but if it works well who cares? This is what they look like new...
  22. I thought I'd post some progress pics of my Rhoads body. I've finished sanding and have started to polish it. I've gone for some Beeswax polish, it's not the quickest method and only time will tell how well it works but it's looking good so far I've also bead blasted the paint off the old bridge and started to polish it, it'll be Nickel Plated soon and hopefully my neck is on the way. Scratch it and DIE cat!!!
  23. Very Nice can't wait to see the newer pics
