truerussian558
i think mantis is a great name also but anyway, how much are they going to go for, when you start selling.
Ki swordsman
what's the trem gonna be? lopro? edgepro(gasp)?
LGM Guitars
what's the trem gonna be? lopro? edgepro(gasp)? Trem's will be OFR. I'd love to use the lopro edge but considering Ibanez isn't making them anymore since the new edge pro crap came out, they aren't a reliable supply. They are expensive as poop too. I just wish that the OFR's came in a cosmo black finish too :S Edit: fixed bad word
Southpa
Expensive as what? (language) I would think that commodity would be fairly inexpensive. I prefer shark names, "mako" comes to mind.
darren wilson
The fender Heartfield line of guitars had a model called "Talon" though. Total Ibanez wanna be too right down to the PGM blue with pink pickups LOL. (The Fender Heartfield line was made for Fender by Ibanez in the Fujigen Gakki factory.) Scott Rosenberger
Man that fingerboard is screaming for Black Binding! (at least to me it is)
darren wilson
Actually, with the dark burst, black binding on the neck and headstock would look really sweet, especially with that maple board!
LGM Guitars
I can sort of agree, I just despise the feel of binding, (don't like how it looks either )
bowser
how about something like ralph? a little bit less threatening? jk, that style just strikes me as an 'edge', though mantis does sound pretty good too.
Alarung
Something nautical...or something individual...or something... Privateer? Freeman? Paladin? What other kinds of guitars are you planning on making? How will they fit in with the image you project currently? What kind of customer base are you trying to cater to? Building guitars is the feast of the Gods. Selling them is the work of the devil. That's a fairly high-shred look you've got there. Do you want to make LGM a shred line? Or do you just want to have the best product? Sorry dude...I'm rambling. Sniper, it's the least generic.
Drak
In light of the new rules, I removed that reference to the famed and fabled Kon-Tiki cruiser ship.
GregP
Blade... Just sounds like a cheap comic book hero or something. Wait. It is! Then again, Edge is the name of a cheap Pro Wrestler, or a kick-ass guitarist from U2. Still, I voted "Edge" over Blade.
darren wilson
How about some more blade-related ones, if Mantis is falling out of favour? Foil Epée Cutlass (has the added bonus of muscle-car and naval association) Dagger Rapier Katana Scimitar Machete
soapbarstrat
I can totally picture LGM Mantis or LGM Assimilator on the headstock
killahworm
Perhaps you should have a different name for the Bass version, like Gibson's Fire/Thunder-birds... maybe Cutlass/Machete?
monkey69962000
i change mine to mantis thats awsome.
GregP
Mantis is no good, unless you want to be relegated to selling them to the children of the very rich. Greg
Alarung
I'm diggin Cutlass! It's got class. And suits the look of the instrument quite well, which should count for at least a little. Or a lot.
Ki swordsman
Wakizashi Shuriken Ronin
StratDudeDan
mantis. also, stallion came to mind when i saw the inlay. kinda looks like a horse leaning in gallop. dean has taken the name of "edge," btw, in their bass line. 9 different Edge models. http://www.deanguitars.com/basses.htm Warwick has the name of Alien for their acoustic bass. http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/alien.html peavey has raptor claimed. http://www.peavey.com/products/shop_online...tcode/3/rat.cfm predator as well... http://www.peavey.com/products/shop_online...ode/4/redat.cfm ESP has viper. http://www.birdlandmusic.net/catalog/ESP_V...ack-p-1364.html sniper, blade, and mantis are untouched, virgin names. Scott Rosenberger
I'm digging Cutlass too! The guitar looks sort of like a curved sword
skibum5545
My vote is still for scythe, has the whole death reference, but I also like cutlass and wakizashi
LGM Guitars
Here's some new pics, and no, the pickups aren't screwed in yet obviously and the gold pole pieces will be changed to chrome
