Mahelcaya
Hi, I need to glue toghether wood and a screw ring of some metal, wich would be the best glue? I was thinking of CA glue.....? what do you think?
daveq
I have been told that epoxy is the better choice when attempting to attach metal to wood. This advice came from a jeweler. He thought that CA would work but he told me that he has had better long term success with epoxy. I don't personally enjoy working with epoxy but when it's the right thing to do ... Check around before taking this as fact. I have done smaller metal inlay using CA and have not yet seen any problems but I think in the future I will probably be going with epoxy. Biohazard
I had epoxy recommended when asking about sticking metal sheets onto my guitar body. Looks like epoxy is popular.
