Menapia
Hi guys ,This is a guitar I built awile back and it was suggested by a fello PG,er that I share with yez. So if it's ok with you guys I'll stick up a few pics over the next few days. Cheere Marty. So like all good stories this on started of with a great big hole . When trying to get as many cap out of a slab of yew and avoiding the hole and knot in the middle of the board the wife suggested that I make a feature out of it ,so after breaking my arse laughing at such a ridiculous Idea......well ya can see what happen next. Yum....Humble Pie...

sdshirtman
Nice vision with the one with the hole. Most people would have passed right by that piece. Not sure I would have went with the divots but it seems to work and never the less makes for a very cool end result. Thanks for posting. Enter in GOTM? ScottR
Those are flippin' Sweet! Your designs and carves are sometimes way out on the edge....which we've seen a few times, but you have the artistic skill and vision to make the creative shapes and contours flow and balance and form a completed artistic piece which we have seen rarely. I love it! and am looking forward to seeing more. SR
pauliemc
I dont think I could resist the urge to fill that big hole in the body - with a glass eye & some teeth encased in resin
Menapia
Cheers Scott much appreciated , Spot on there Paulie that was the idea I had for it , to put a glass eye in there but in the end I decide it would have been too over the top in fact that's how it got the name Balor ,the one eyed monster from Irish mythology . Menapia
No if anything it's more out of the way because it's at the back of the guitar .
