chemical_ali
i have a mexican telecaster and the nut keeps slipping back and forth during bends. i use 11s in standard tuning. i think the nut is some kind of plastic. what is a good way to secure the nut from slipping? chemical_ali
no, the strings are staying in the nut. it's the force from the bend that's shifting the nut out of the slot.
StreamLine
11's are pretty tight......... but just reglue the nut with strong stuff, should be fine.
chemical_ali
i dont think the nut was ever glued in the first place. what kind of glue should i use?
Guest AlexVDL
the sticky type just a drop of superglue would do... don't apply the glue on the side of the nut that touches the fretboard, otherwise the fretboard could chip when you replace the nut.
