StormLeader
nah it should pretty much look like the mockups i tried the military styled 'arrow chevrons' and it didnt work as well, but the tape is reffered to as chevron tape at my local hardware store. and here as well http://www.landw.co.za/products/view/1 and as i said im going for the electrical harzard tape cheers anyway but i dont think the arrowed chevron will work because the body is already v shaped OK, just wondering. The guitar reminds me of the 80's christian metal band stripper! Haha, it does! -Stormy
Blazer
The guitar reminds me of the 80's christian metal band stripper! That's STRYPER thank you very much. And although the spandex is gone, their guitars still bear the black with yellow stripes proudly.

I would put the killswitch right before the jack. Use SPDT and put it on the hot wire so that one position connects hot to the hot tab of the jack, and the other position connects hot to ground. chops1983
Looks great! Just be careful laying it on that towel... i did that on the first body i refinished and it left towel indentations over the whole back of the guitar. Not cool. C.R.S.Km.D
hey been a while due to the weather down under. but i have made some progress only thing left is to make the input jack cpver plate. i had a circle as is common for the flying V but it looks...bad. so here is a picture of it as is im thinking ill make a trapeziumish parallelagram, parallel to the pickguards edge and then the other two sides following the body. but i am open to suggestions
StormLeader
That looks REALLY cool! Are you going to have a Truss-rod cover? If so, to make it matching the body would be awesome. While I'm at this, why didn't you paint the head stock to match the body? That's really the only thing design-wise I would change. Great job! -Stormy
Reinhold
I think he stated earlier that the stripes were too large to continue the pattern on the headstock correctly.
StormLeader
Just looked back in the thread, the mock-ups did look kinda goofy, but I think with a little work it could be done. Either way, it's still a sweet looking guitar! -Stormy
VesQ
forget about what I said about painting pickguard black. It looks good as it is now. Good job

pmarlin
The scratch plate should be extended all the way down for the jack to be mounted on.
C.R.S.Km.D
The scratch plate should be extended all the way down for the jack to be mounted on. i was trying to avoid that as i didnt want to cover up to much of hte paint work
FireFly
I thought the concept pictures looked pretty cheesey. Now that its finished, I can imagine this thing being played, and I would have to compliment the creativity in the build! I like it
