CrazyManAndy
You guys need to stop laying your bare wood guitars on the lawn...at least throw down a sheet or a blanket or something... Lol, I keep thinking the same thing. Looks GREAT, killemall! CMA
killemall8
but its not bare wood. it was sealed with linseed oil. like 15 coats.
Inisheer
Wow, this is my favorite guitar you've done so far! It looks awesome! Now I really want to make an explorer. And that bubinga top is beatiful.

avengers63
You guys need to stop laying your bare wood guitars on the lawn... Which is proof (to me) that he's not really from New Mexico. Nothing grows in New Mexico but cactus and pissed-off Indians.
killemall8
yeah, everywhere but my back yard. we have over 60 trees in our yard, none of wich were here when we moved here 8 years ago, all were planted by us.
Mr. Preston Swift
I saw this on gotm and i have to say that is one impressive guitar! as well as a back yard. I saw you were using some guitarheads pickups. How do you like them? cause i've been looking into them but i didn't know if they were any good seeing as nobody i know has them
killemall8
i think me and zyonsdream are the only ones that use them. ive only used 2 types. these actives and the hexbuckers. the hexbuckers diddnt put out even close to enough distortion or crunch that i needed, but the cleans were great. on these actives, the distortion is identical to emgs. cleans, not so much. i mean they arnt bad, and it might just be my amp also. the cleans can get fuzzy if you hit a note really hard and stuff. you just have to roll the tone back, which i hate to do because you loose some of the wholeness of the sound. wood is good
Do you sell your guitars on ebay?
Dylanwad
Awsome guitar! I was thinking of using a veneer on a future project, how did you shape the corners where the veneer meets the side of the body? Router, sandpaper? Any chance of a close up of that part? Seriously nice dude!
avengers63
You'll not get an answer - killemall dropped off of the board a few months ago.

VesQ
This guitar was the reason why i started my own explorer project. I voted this explorer in GOTM.
