paulscape
I posted some pics of this guitar a few months back under construction - now finally got this thing finished! It started its life as a cheap Toyama explorer copy and now looks like a mongrel van halen bumble bee destroyer guitar. Body is 4 piece Mahoghany, new custom made maple neck with rosewood fretboard, yellow plastic fret dots and dunlop medium jumbo frets, Gotoh nut and tuners, Seymour Duncan Distortion PU in the bridge and SD jazz in the neck. Painted yellow first, then black, then clear coats. I really like the jazz pickup, very lush on clean tones. Anyway it was fun to make and something a little different from the usual VH replica's. t8L39JPOFgM

oz tradie
Very nice build, Paul. Impressive artwork and also a versatile setup with your choice of 'buckers. I like the use of yellow fretmarkers too. It ties it all together nicely. B.T.W. You'll find bloody heaps of aussies on this forum.
