X1TX
Okay, I'm working a string-thru and I'm a noob on this. But I'm trying to figure out how to ground the bridge. I have a hole to get a wire to the post hole for the 'Tuna-matic' bridge, but I'm wondering how I connect the ground to the post as there's no lug. And I doubt I'm gonna solder onto the post and still get it down the hole. Or am I just too dense on something here.
Southpa
Yes, you are thick as a brick, j/k Push the bare end of the wire into the hole you drilled and pull it up along the side of the bridge mounting stud hole. Then push in your mounting stud and your grounding contact has been made. No soldering required, double check for continuity with an ohm meter. X1TX
Thought it might be something that simple, but I was thinking otherwise because of the coating on the inserts. They're black, though that's likely just anodizing.
GregP
Either way, the inserts will be sunk into the wood. You could just scrape off some of the "coating" if it's not conductive.
