I havent used them personally but have looked at that Tele set Stew Mac sells several times wishfully. Hope someone else can give feed back re these pickups. gavztheouch Posted May 31, 2007 Report Share Posted May 31, 2007 Just like the trems there are the poor quailty korean/chinese ones built under licence, and the great Japanese built GOTOH ones also built under licence from wilkinson. The prices are worlds apart but so is the quailty, for example a humbucker may cost around ten pounds for a korean one and upwards of 40 pounds for a proper Gotoh one. EKO Posted June 1, 2007 Report Share Posted June 1, 2007 my bass ive been having problems with came with 'genuine wilkinson pickups' and theyre the problem, they sound ok but they give a hell of an electronic scratching popping sound sometimes.
