Pattimura
hi there i was wondering how i could do a burnt finish like the ibanez JS 1000 as you can see, the woodgrain pattern shows through the burnmarks.. anyone know how i can achieve the same effect? Scott Rosenberger
Lightly pass a propane torch over the Basswood in places until you get the desired amoupnt of burn. Don't hold it in one place EVER!!! Keep it moving at all times. Basswood burns really easily. You just want to discolor the surface of the wood, not actually set it on fire. Then spraay with a tinted clearcoat
