yahilltrade
lets start off saying that i play metal....like death metal......i do guitar flips and im having problems with my strap locks....the strap lock stays on the pin but the screw comes right out of the whole everytime i flip....is it because of the weight of my guitar?....do i need really huge screws? any answer would be great. WezV
plug the hole with a few used matchsticks and try again. If that works loose plug it some more and flood it with CA glue, then redrill the hole a bit smaller.

WezV
obviously the better repair would be to drill out a 6mm hole carefully to avoid chipping the lacquer, fill this with a 6mm hardwood dowel, redrill the hole and then reinforce the wood with water thin CA glue. 9 times out of 10 the matchsticks work well enough for such a quick repair. Nitefly SA
Here's what I'd do, slowly remove the screws, buy a DiMarzio cliplok strap, re-insert screws, go guitar-flip-crazy.
