Robert_the_damned
Or get a really good front on picture of the guitar and use something of know dimension (scale length or string spread at bridge are good) and enlarge it on a photocopier. Mickguard
Or get a really good front on picture of the guitar and use something of know dimension (scale length or string spread at bridge are good) and enlarge it on a photocopier. I do something similar --I look for a decent photo, then use Autocad's spline function...it's a little more work, but you can adapt the guitar to your own design. Takes very little time and you can scale it exactly as you need it. A guitar shop may not let you trace around their guitars, but they might be willing to allow you to make straight-on photographs (they're difficult to find). Oh yeah, you know that if you donate to this site, you get access to a bunch of ready-made guitar plans --there's a set of Les Pauls in there, dunno if there's a Jackson.
