Fluke
Hello, I've found two mid-priced Fenders I like and cant decide what one to purchase. The highway 1 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home...ase_pid/511010/ I love the satin finish on the thing, but I hear it nicks easily (the one I played was nicked pretty good on one end but only because it was dropped onto concrete) sounds great, neck is wonderful. The Deluxe http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home...ase_pid/511597/ good finishes hear, too. no bad reviews either. haven't played it yet but i'm willing to risk it... The one purchased will be played thru a fender twin reverb 100w (tube amp) Thank You!! -Fluke
GregP
Noiseless pickups sound like a great idea. 1 vote for Player's strat. Greg

marksound
Are those the only choices? I mean, for the same money you can get a 50s or 60s or 70s Strat and get a cool period correct custom color. Vintage vibe without the vintage price. Or you could build one. Mickguard
Yeah, way too many choices...how many ways can you chop up a hamburger? May I recommend another route --have a look for a used MIJ Strat --the Japanese strats are great....I have one, it's one amazing guitar....I paid 250 euros for it....no cut corners, no overinflated price, the same quality or better than most MIA Fenders...there are always plenty available through ebay. I dig the vintage sound so I might just go with that. BTW thanks, you guys, for not calling me a retard. I knew it was a crappy idea to put this in poll format. -Fluke
x189player
absolutely the players' strat- i just got one and it's awesome- the noiseless pickups are superb sounding and the neck is wonderful- and the price is right! considering many strats are really variable, the players' ones i've played are the good ones. plus, they seem to be disappearing from the shops i've seen and not coming back into stock. that's assuming you want it for playing, not for various other (fashion etc) reasons. i frankly think mine didn't sell at the shop i found it becauser it looked like too much of a creampuff- the gold plated hardware is ridiculous! but it is really a superb instrument. crafty
The DP Strat is made in Mexico and the H1 is made in America. Save some money and buy the Carvin Bolt Kit. Then you can get some experience in actually putting a guitar together.
