Hey guys.

I use powertabs alot to write down the music i make.

It takes a very long time to do so this is qhat im thinkinf of.

Is there any way of connecting my keyboard to the program to tab things that way?

I have midi jacks on the back of my keyboard.

How would i go upon doing this?

But does PowerTab actually support MIDI input in the first place? Or offer a MIDI-to-PT converter? (asking in general to help the original poster; not asking the original poster himself necessarily!)

Power Tab allows you to import MIDI tracks for conversion, so if you can get your MIDI tracks into the computer, it'll do the conversion. It's also a great way to find out how rhythmically accurate your playing is - since it converts exactly as you play within it's resolution limits, if you're not dead on, it still tries to tab exactly what you've played. It's a humbling experience to have to go back and retime several dozen measures because you played them out of time!

I didn't know that. I toured a college with my niece a few weeks back and in one of the music rooms they had 20 keyboards and a computer on each one that wrote the score (not tabbed) as you played it. The tour guide said it was pretty common.....I must really be out of touch!! I didn't get the name of the software they were using but I want it now
