sepultura999
I agree with Drak. Your Brutalizer V is going to look way better, and if you want a V sort of shape with attitude, I say go for the Silvertone Apocalypse. Like I said, V sort of shape lol

sepultura999
i havent tried it lol, but i think it looks better than that jay turser POS lol. The morons at silvertone should've left the dots in the center, and made the neck like Gibsons. The body is symetrical, so why does the whole neck have to suck? What kind of cheap 6 string guitar are you looking for? If you really want a POS 6 string and you dont care for looks, check ebay for brands like harmony, silvertone (older ones), teisco, kay, kingston, airline, eko - and there are a few more. -Jamie Edited July 1, 2005 by sepultura999
Duff Beer Man
Tokai is also a japan company i believe who hear makes some dang good guitars for the price, i hear they are better then epi's and around the same price.
sepultura999
Some of the earlier tokais I think are also worth just as much as american made fenders, however if that's way off, the guy selling it in his store is a moron lol. Orville also made some good Les Paul copies, but they are pricey. If you really want a cheap six string why not go with Agile? There guitars are cheap all around. I hear mixed reviews, but I also hear mixed reviews on every company. The best thing with Agile is that if you don't like the guitar you can return it within 30 days it arrived at your house, and you don't have to tell them why. Go to rondomusic.net and thats where you can view what they have and you can order from there. Edited July 1, 2005 by sepultura999

Cerb
You guitarists and your pointy things *shakes head*. I, personally, don't like it at all, but if it plays nice, why not? I'm not sure about their guitars, but Essex (rondomusic.com) makes some pretty kickass J and P bass copies for about $130. Their guitars are even cheaper. I'd check them out. I'm laying down the groove on a fretless J Bass made by them at the moment, and it's killer. Edit: I was just looking through their guitars, and on the second page is a decent looking V for $130. A lot of their guitars look right up your alley. Edit 2: If you were planning on getting something with a figured top, the SX brand guitars and basses use fotoflame. But, hey, so does fender . There are quite a few other brands of guit-fiddles on the site, though. Edited July 3, 2005 by Cerb
!!METAL MATT!!
WOW That's cheep http://www.rondomusic.net/si22.html I need A six string But you just know That At that cost it's Has to be junk Right? Maybe I could Repair it and upgrade it! And What The He11 is fotoflame !!METAL MATT!!
Cerb
Actually, their stuff is amazing for the price. It certainly isn't $5,000 custom amazing, but it's great none the less. Check this thread over at Talkbass. It's an Essex Megathread. I'd say that 95% enjoy the quality as-is without modification. I love my fretless J. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57599 Fotoflame is a process used to make the top maple cap appear flamed. It's basically a transparent film covering the wood that has the flame grain printed on it. That guitar appears to have a real figured top, though. sepultura999
Did you see the Rhoads style V on the site? The reason why they are cheap is probably because they are made in China. The best thing is, if you recieve the guitar, and you hate the feel or something isn't right (loose frets, crappy paint job, etc.) you can return it, and they'll give you your money back including shipping. -Jamie

westhemann
those guitars are very shoddy...you pay $130..you get a $130 guitar there is no magic fairy land in china where only good natured hippies donate their time to produce a fantastic guitar at a loss to themselves in order to provide poor people with awesome instruments. rather, they use every shortcut and cost reduction in the book to provide the lowest possible overhead, and provide guitars which only cost probably $30 to build for them. do they look good in the pictures?yes! do they play and sound good?no! do they look as good in person?not the one i have! so when you buy one,be sure to remember where you heard the warning
Cerb
You could very well be correct about the other brands that the site sells. I'm only speaking for Essex, and even then only for their basses. I've never came in contact with any of their guitars.
