Hughes
http://www.warmoth.com/bass/bodies/radical...ude_mockingbird if you goto that link and look at "Ash Front" photo you can see on the left side of the guitars body it has a huge round off edge...now would i just use a bigger roundoff router bit or how could i make mine look as much like that as possible? thanks, Hughes
Hughes
oh, i also forgot to mention that the rounded (more of a slope i guess?) gets smaller as it goes down

GregP
Yes. Hand tools will get you there. No doubt they use CNC or some other form of automated shaping on theirs, so it's not like they have a special technique with an unorthodox combination of bits and angles or anything. I'm sure there's a jig you could rig up, but it seems like an unecessary step and expediture because you'd likely need access to specific things in order to pull the jig off. Wademeister
I did mine with a drawknife (similar to spokeshave) and a block plane. Lots of block sanding too. I probably also used a rasp too now that I look at it. I built it a long time ago and I don't remember exactly.
