GEdwardJones
Alex, I actually think it looks BETTER more beat up. before it looked like a guy who tooka a new guitar and tried to beat it up (some of the dings were too "perfetc"). Now it looks like a beat up guitar.
stockler707
Alex, that guitar looks like it's been gigged with for 40 years, I love it! I've got a cheap squire strat that I hate and after seeing yours, I think I'll relic it... is there anything in particular that I should know before starting, or any tips you have? Thanks -Hugh :..lj..:
stockler707
Just for laughs... I just looked up relics on ebay and was reading an ad that says that the serial number has been sanded off in the relic-ing of the guitar... Yeah... I bet your guitar isn't stolen... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewIt...&category=38082 -Hugh :..lj..:

Lex Luthier
That thing is PHAT! You did an awesome job on it, and this is from someone who attemped to make a relic and now think they're kinda dumb, but that thing looks COOL. randombaz
that looks great for a relic, well done looks like more fun than being dead accurate...i just spend so much aching, painful time stripping the paint off my body and sanding etc. i did think about doing a vintage looking guitar, but decided against it? why? because it's an epiphone, not a 50's gibson! but thats the look u like, and u did a good job.....ayyyy
Bigtommyb
Great Relic! only thing is the pickguard looks abit too new in some of the larger shots but that could just be cuz of the light or sumthing cuz it looks good in other pics. erikbojerik
Alex, that's a great job. It looks like its been "worked" pretty well! I love this link to a guy who made a repro reliced Roy Buchanan Tele; he went the whole 9 yards to get it as close as possible to the "original". There are some good relic tips in there.
