rhoads56
Why yes, they ARE flamed converse's I want some EVH ones too Im SOOOOO happy with the tone on the recording, that we are going to call back in some previously finished guitars (seven baritone and Vine), and record some stuff with them. Ive got a wierd tele, and a nice couple of soloists coming, and we will record them too, so i have a CD of work for people to listen to. 82DeanZ
Jeez, this is definitely not the month to enter GOTM. There have been some nice pieces exhibited lately. This one's right at the top. As a huge RR fan myself, I'd definitely have to vote for this one. Nice work Perry. Best Regards, Mike.

rhoads56
OMG. Its 2am, ive just recieved the proof sheet for the review on this guitar from the local guitar/music industry magazine. I can't link it here, because there is a media embargo on it until the date of printing, but its nothing less than a glowing review. They said i could quote two passages from the article, so here they are: "The Ormsby PDCV is a world class guitar, made right here in Perth, in humble downtown O’Connor." "While Perry Ormsby may not necessarily be aiming at the world market, some of the world market may just come looking for him." Ive also even been sent "tentative" cover shots. ***??? COVER SHOTS!! MY GUITAR ON THE COVER OF THE MAG?? WOW. Im literally scared right now... Im already booked up more than six months, i dont know if this is a good or bad thing. westhemann
i dont know if this is a good or bad thing. of course it is a good thing.it's nice to know you can still get somewhere with quality workmanship rather than providing the cheapest labor(small shot at the low end guitar market there)
urbansmurf
congrats, you deserve the cover =)
rhoads56
WOW, some magazine in Sydney has read the review (by Groove magazine), and has asked to run it in their magazine also, and i just got an email saying a UK based progressive music website will be publishing the review and sound clip as a feature on their website also. xebryusguitars
I dunno if i should be proud or say "its about time" because every step of the way, you deserve this man. I bet you can even sit down because of the news. Well please takes some pics and when the site posts the article, please give us the link. Love the work and this is great news. Great job
crafty
"Ormsby PDCV"? Hmm...not a very sexy name for such a smokin' guitar. How about "the Ormsby V-Zilla" or something ridiculous like that? Or...maybe you Aussies have a different opinion of what sounds sexy. I know in the US, nobody would know what a Monaro is but they sure as hell know what a Mustang or a GTO is all about.
rhoads56
PDCV = Polka Dot Custom V. Thats just what the dood writing the article called it. As far as im concerned, its a Randy Rhoads replica.

rhoads56
It is THE Monaro. Ive changed the number plates to "GTR MKR" since this pic, and it has signs on the side now, and a "photo" sign on the back (getting fitted next week, its a yellow background with two of my 'vine' guitars and some signage)
