LukeR
Hey! that looks really great- especially for a 1st timer. I think you have done a really cool take on the N4- it looks like you have made something pretty unique. Congrats man, Luke
westhemann
what is the scale length?something looks off with either the scale length or the size of the body. it looks like there is too much space between the bridge and the end of the fretboard...but that could be an illusion caused by a smaller body. but yeah,it looks good. Bill-Murray
Looks good man, only I'd redo the finish. Just doesn't look well done. Great other than that though. Cool bridge.

GuitarMaestro
Interesting. I always thought about checking out one of the cheaper floyds from ebay just out of curiosity. Is it one of them? What brand is it?

Jon Bell
How does the unfinished neck feel? Do you have any worries about it's stability? Very cool looking guitar!

LukeR
I noticed that too Greg, but I wasnt going to say anything, haha Perhaps the most important feature of a finish is that it protects the wood. I actually remeber when the N4 was released, there was alot of talk about whether or not the instruments should have been finished. I also remeber reading another tip- applying talcum powder to a neck with no finish. Doest affect (or protect) the timber, but its supposed to make playing much smoother (I think that was in Matt Bruck's GW column). But still, looks cool man. perhellion
As to all the scale length/body size comments, all the real Nuno's look like that. If you've never played one, the body is tiny. I was amazed how small it was when I first played one. This one actually looks more like Nuno's original guitar, which was built from parts (I think Warmoth neck, Schecter body). His phrase was the body had been "shaved down" from a full-size body. I always wondered exactly how it was "shaved down". My personal favorite guitar of his was "N3" -- same unfinished small body, but it had a maple fretboard. In an Extreme video, maybe "Kid Ego"
mullmuzzler
Nuno N4 Replica Finished I think it's more of N2 than N4. Looks OK... Lower horn is kinda off, but... Nice lookin' axe. I really love N4s and I saw on the yahoo groups that some guy made a real N4 replica with Steven's Extended Cutaway. I'll dig out the link and post it later. Very nice, Lesmortdansant. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
Mahelcaya
Good job ! I like unfinished necks too , I just treat them with many coats of oil , in the beginning, and after that, just plain furniture wax, once a wile. I love the feel of it, and for now never had issues of stability. Do you have a design with specs of the body, I am really looking forward in making one ( I love Nuno's guitars and playing ). Curtis P
Curtis I can play most of Pornograffiti with the exception of flight of the wounded bumblebee which I'm learing at the moment.. about 50% through it. The sound is actually quite good. I just run it through a JCM800 head and 4x12 and I'm finding it to be a nice thick sound which is what I'm after. well, you got farther then me, i tried get the funk out and pornograffiti, it stopped bout 4 bars in, lol Curtis

GregP
Sweet! I had never seen one of those before, though I knew there was some sort of jiggery-pokery going on. The Washburn ads never seemed to show the back-side of it... clandestine? I dunno...! But that's pretty neat. Greg
mullmuzzler
Here's my blueprint of the N4. As soon as I finish it, I'll send it to Brian to put it in the Download Section. Sorry for the hijack. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
