jay5
Found these online, they look decent; Pin Router Plans
tdog
The plans look shakey at best,,,,Remember that the router produces a lot of torque. I had a commercially made radial arm type router which was heavy guage steel and it still had problems...I ended up selling it and buying a real overarm pin router. jay5
I have never had any experience with an overarm router before but it doesnt look like the most stable thing in the world now that I really look at it. David Myka built an overarm fixture to rough his neck contours. His looks pretty solid. This is the kind of tool I would file under the "It would be nice, but not essential" category. Granted I have made several purchases from this category before David Mykas Overarm Fixture
tdog
Mikas jig looks like a good one for its intended purpose. Torque should not be a concern here.....The Popular Mechanics design with the single upright tube looked like trouble.
