The only Issue I have with it is that the neck pocket kinda ruins the curves of it; were it one long curve from top horn to bottom, as could be done with a neckthru, I think it'd improve the looks a lot. Mahelcaya Posted October 12, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 12, 2004 Thanks guys skibum5545 : good idea , I may do that on the 5 string version I am plannig to build in future, once I learn to make neckthroughs......the scoop area is mainly for aesthetics purpose, but it lets me fit well my thumb on the J pups since the action of the strings to the body is really low MKGBass : really don't know what kind of wood that is, but sounds great , at least to my ears ( I am mainly a gtr player, just started playing bass recently ).
