fehgalloway
you should enter guitar of the month! Those guitars are amazing.. do you always do copies of existing guitars? you should try your own design - it would be fantastic!
skibum5545
I agree: Hyunsu, are you aware of the Guitar of the Month contest in the Announcements/Test Section? I bet your guitars would do quite well; I know I'd vote for them!!
Lex Luthier
Very nice! In the pics where the body is being clamped, what is the masking tape for?
hyunsu
hi.. Lex.. when i clamped body.. i allway use masking tape.. because of when use glue and laminated wood.. wood is slide.. .. so i fixed wood by use masking tape.. ^^ yet my guitar is only practice.. i think i need more practice and time.. today i buy new material.. (bonus pic is my baby.. ^^ 24months baby.. when she show wood.. she allway stick wood.. ) maple neck blank.. & fingerboard size (maple) and body blank.. & chinise red fine.. and Wau beech... today's big isue is Wau beech... i dont know Wau beech.. but.. when i stick this wood.. i'm suprised.. wonderfull sound.. in my pic.. i touch photo in black color.. because of when see my photo in this site.. if he is korean.. he think.. cheap wood is will make cheap sound... so i masking.. i dont think cheap wood is cheap sound.. i hate this mind.. so my homepage.. i dont want show wood's name.. so i mask. ^^ masking wood is Wau beech.. today's my wood price is total 250$ i'm so happy.. my new wood.. ^^ all wood is good condition dried.. javacody
hyunsu, I noticed a jigsaw for rough shaping of your bodies, but what do you do for final shaping? Router? Sander? Hand sanding?

hyunsu
new neck .. curly anigre... it is funny .. normal anigre is not hard than hard maple.. but this anigre is hard than hard maple.. so it's neck wood's vibration is very small.. i think it will be good study.. when this neck is end.. i wonder this guitar's sound.. this pic is not ended.. it is free cutting.. i think.. i'm really hard worker.. T_T when i make guitar.. my weight is small.. before i make guitar. my wehight is 98Kg ^^ but not fat.. now my weight is 88Kg.. if your frineds is fat.. suggest guitar making.. ^^ it really good diet.. have nice day.. fehgalloway
if your frineds is fat.. suggest guitar making.. ^^ it really good diet.. Good Idea... You can become famous with the "Luthiers Diet" Become rich and then you'll be able to afford to make guitars all day.. I know I asked this before, but I don't think you answered. Do you keep all the guitars you make??? Or do you sell them??? By the way - that neck is beautiful! Lovely timber! Thanks for all the pictures... RGGR
Hyunsu, slow down my friend. You're cloggin up my T1 line with all those pics. The 56k people must hate you by now. ;-) And I do think you should pick up custom work. Plenty of people wanting a neck or body with the quality of work you do. Guitarfrenzy
Maybe he doesn't know about the new rules on picture posting? Great looking guitars though, but man I still say your a brave soul building a heavy ash guitar, I've made that mistake before, first off the tone was way too bright and the weight was so much that everyone complained that there was no way they'd play a guitar that heavy. Kinda makes you realize, man I couldn't even sell this guitar if I wanted to.
Maiden69
If there is a person I will never complain about the pics will be him, to know that he barely speaks the language and he still makes all the efforts to post the stuff for us to see is awsome. Yes he does post a lot of pics, I know maybe Wes or Kevan might PM him (after they learn some korean)and explain the new rules, he surely doesn't know because he doesn't wonder much in the other areas of the forum, When was the last time that you saw him post in any other section of the forum besides this? Just did a search here of 4 pages of posts from OCT 03 only one post out of the solidbody and inprogress area. If you know hyunsu you know he always post a lot of pics, we already know this, if you still want to open it just wait for the pics to load, if not go to your options on the control panel and click no to see the pics! The only thing I will say to slow down is his progress, I'm ashame how slow I work and that he got so many guitars in a few weeks when I'm still working on one! Great job hyunsu. javacody
That flame is beautiful! I look forward to seeing the finished neck Hyunsu. Hyunsu, maybe its time for you to take a break and east some Pulgogi (pulgoki? not sure on English spelling). Man, I love Korean food. All those delicious vegetable dishes. Especially kimchi. mmm... I'm hungry. My brother-in-law (wife's half brother) is half korean and he cooks for us sometimes. Man. I wish he was here right now. mleichtl
Hyunsu atashi, where do you live? I was stationed in Korea in '90, 91 U.S. Army. I lived in Camp Howze, if my memory serves me correctly about 1 1/2 hours by bus north of Seoul. There was a guitar factory nearby I think it was Ovation. Kimchi is one of the nastyest smelling things to Americans, although it doesn't taste bad. My roommate put some in our fridge, eventhough it was in a tuppaware container the smell still permiated into all the other food in there. Kimchi tasting chocolate cake, ohyeah. Hyunsu, I'd say your progress pic are the most inspiring for us beginners. Hope you keep it up.
